Moving from North America to Penang with young children was a pretty big change. New country, new routines, new schools, new neighbourhoods… and plenty of things we didn’t expect along the way.
Penang Family Life is where we share some of what we’ve learned along the way — the useful stuff, the little things nobody tells you, and the things we wish we had known before making the move.
We’ll talk about housing, neighbourhoods, everyday costs, schools, transportation, restaurants, family activities and all the random practical things that suddenly become very important when you’re actually living here.
And no, this isn’t a “Penang is amazing, come here immediately!” kind of website. 😄
There are definitely things we love about Penang. There are also things that are frustrating, surprisingly expensive, inconvenient, or simply not as great as people sometimes make them sound.
So we’re here to share the good, the bad, and the in-between — with honest opinions and real-life experience rather than polished relocation advice.
